UTV has massive plans for film production and distribution now that Jodhaa AKbar has been released. After the great critical and commercial response teh film has got, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, UTV's executive vice president, marketing, distribution and syndication annonced that UTV has lined up 19 movies for release this year. All are not movies that UTV will be producing. It has produced or acquired distribution rights for some, co-produced a few and has entered into tie-ups with the rest. This will enable it to ensure the onus of the projects are not with UTV completely.

The movies that are in the pipeline are - 'Bombay Meri Jaan', 'Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge', 'Shoebite', 'Star', 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye', '7G Rainbow Colony', 'Alibaba and the 41 Thieves' and 'Arjun'.

UTV have also in collaboration with Madhur Bhandarkar for 'Fashion', with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra ( 'Dilli 6'), with Sohail Khan (Main Aur Mrs. Khanna) and 'Kisaan' and with Epiphany Films (The Dream Blanket). That is almost half the Bollywood Film Industry looks like.

Next to be released soon is Race - starring Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Akshaye Khanna and Sameera Reddy.
